Quick start

  1. Powering on: Press the Power button to turn the display on. Press it again to power off.
  2. Select pedal assist level: Press the "+" or "-" button to choose a pedal assist level from 0 to 5. Level 0 provides no assistance, while level 5 provides maximum motor output.
  3. Headlight and taillight: If your bike is equipped with light sensing, the lights turn on automatically in low light. To turn them on or off manually, hold the "+" button for more than 2.5 seconds. Automatic mode resumes after you restart the bike.
  4. Settings: Press and hold the "+" and "-" together for 3 seconds to open the Settings. Use the settings menu to adjust backlight brightness, units (miles or kilometers), automatic power-off, wheel size, speed limit, zero start, light sensitivity, cruise control and language.
  5. Password lock: In the settings menu, go to Password, then Start Password, to turn password protection on or off. Select Reset Password to change your code.
  6. Switching between Cadence and Torque Sensors: Press the Power button once to switch between Cadence mode and Torque mode. The "C" icon on the display indicates Cadence mode and the "T" icon on the display indicates Torque mode. Cadence is better for flatter terrain or when you want the bike to do the work. Torque is better for hill climbing and when you want to feel a more natural bike riding experience.
  7. Using the Parking Brake: When you are done riding, hold down the front and rear brake levers and then use the parking brake by flipping the metal clip into the locked position. Your bike's parking brake is now engaged.
